Steps To Overcoming Fears

Nearly everyone has certain fears that often nearly paralyze their ability to take viable and effective action, or even to conduct everyday activities. We often refer to the narrow part of the spectrum that they are willing to embrace their personal comfort zone, and far too many people will do almost anything not to have to stray outside that zone. It is important for us to remember that most fears are not based on rationality, but rather some attitudinal or adaptive mechanism that we adapt to insulate ourselves.

1. While most people will try to explain away these fears by referring to them as being fear of failure, my many years of experience training and working with people in the areas of leadership and attitude adjustment makes me convinced that it is more often success that an individual fears that failure. Why, you might wonder, would someone be afraid to succeed? Quite simply, many people fear success because they fear that when they succeed, both they and others will have higher expectations in the future, and they fear the additional stress and pressure that they perceive from that. Since many of these people have spent their lives achieving somewhat mediocre results, they find it difficult and challenging to even visualize being successful. People create personal comfort zones to avoid doing anything that causes them difficulty or creates discomfort.

2. Most people spend more time worrying about something than doing anything about it. When one visualizes a problem, it will often bring on and/ or introduce a problem into ones consciousness, and causes someone to spend excessive time and effort worrying about how this problem can be corrected. Of course, if one sees the situation as a challenge instead of a problem, he visualizes success, and clears his mind to develop a viable strategy to transform the challenge to an obstacle, and then the obstacle into something that is overcome.

3. In order to overcome fears, instead of fixate negatively about them, it is necessary for each of us to honestly and thoroughly examine our selves and our intents, and in doing so pinpoint our strengths and our weaknesses. Effective strategy always calls for building on and utilizing strengths, while transforming identifiable weaknesses into something that we can overcome, and make into another of our strengths. Too many people are in some sort of denial when it comes to themselves. They easily criticize and find faults in others, but appear to see no personal flaws. Since all humans have flaws, the difference between overcoming fears and hiding from them, is often taking that first step to get to know oneself better, and work on those things that could use improvement, enhancement or tweaking.

We all need to work on having a positive, can- do attitude, and looking at how to expand our comfort zone, and improve as a human being. It all begins with that first step!

Positive Thinking - Overcoming Challenges Along Your Unique Life Path - 5 Tips

You may be familiar with this classic saying by Henry David Thoreau: "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away."

This wise old adage gives us clear permission to follow that different drummer, yet most of us are still of the mindset of comparing and measuring ourselves against others. Then what happens? We often become frustrated and feel we can't keep up. Even if you do not think this overtly, you may be carrying this mentality around within your subconscious mind.

You are unique -- know that it is perfectly okay to walk your own walk. You do not want to "vibrate" exactly the same as everybody else. It is self-empowering to refrain from the mindset of comparing yourself to others. Compare yourself to who YOU want to be, to where YOU want to go.

That's not to say your path is solitary, or should be. It is always brilliant and beneficial to be connected to others as they walk along their own personal paths. However, hold on to your own dreams and visions of what you wish your life to be. Do not let the influence of others overwhelm you. And you don't really need to "walk a mile" in their shoes. Just be tolerant, understanding, respectful -- and continue merrily on your way.

However, when you encounter challenging times along your path, it often becomes tough to think clearly and sometimes you may get sidetracked. To energetically persevere and overcome these personal hurdles -- which can sometimes be major obstacles -- keep in mind these five suggestions:

Acknowledge your human perspective and know that it is okay to be stymied by challenges. (We ALL are.) Then acknowledge that deep within you are strong -- you are POWERFUL and have amazing potential. Consciously call upon your inner strength to see you through.
Call upon the higher consciousness, Source, God, the Divine, your angels (whatever you believe) and ask for assistance with your challenge. Prayer and requests are always helpful. Move some of your burden out of your heart and turn it over to a Higher Power.
Be of the thought set to "move ahead." Even though your goal or wish may seem like a zillion steps away or your challenge looks as high as a mountain, just know you can move ahead. Determine that you will persevere.
Divide your dream, your wish or your obstacle into doable segments. Remember Lao Tzu's sage statement from thousands of years ago: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." So take that first step. And take it with as much light and joy as you can muster -- "fake it 'til you make it." At least you will have spurred yourself into action.
Be kind to yourself. This is key -- always continue to nurture yourself and your dreams. Do not chastise yourself harshly for not being where you want to be. That type of head talk is painful and further debilitating. So encourage yourself as you can. Know that challenges come -- but challenges also go -- and you can ride out the stormy wave to once again find a sense of peace and harmony in your life. You have the inner strength.

Affirmations:

I call upon my inner strength to see me through challenging times. One step at a time and one goal-at-a-time is the way to achieve my dreams and plans.I am always kind to myself, as well as being loving and compassionate toward others.

Overcoming The "Negative" Emotions

Ever been frustrated? Have ever been angry? Ever been depressed? All of these are derived from the degustatorowi of a gap between where you are and where you want to be. Ever felt those emotions arranged for yourself? For example, you could ever felt lonely and then felt depressed because you're lonely? Or felt frustrated because you're wrong? Now you are the degustatorowi of a gap between how he feels and how you feel. But things start to really nasty if you decide that these layers of feeling are damaged. Now not only do you feel Angry about something frustrating about Your anger and bad for your frustration (for example), but now you're feeling bad. And in that State is not known why or what exactly you feel you know that simply does not feel good. You have so far away from the initial Bo "even remember not, why do you feel what you feel like you just know that you feel it. I have lost objectivity. You forget a sense of excitement and convince yourself that the emotions you are. But they are not. Your emotions come and go. Who you are and shall remain long before there were emotions. So as to meet the negative emotions?

After the first one to remember, that is the only emotion. I say that I feel depressed or angry, or frustrated or sad. But they are not. You "Negative" EmotionsAre. Simply you feel these things. Were placed, your being, and you are in, but you are not. When one is aware it is then possible to create objects of these emotions to see them for what they are. And what they are, is a signal to you that there is a discrepancy between who you are and what they really are. They are a reminder that there is more life than what you're feeling right now. Or are they increase the possibilities to experience something deeper in the light of the recovery of the opposing emotions. And all that is good. Recognize that these emotions are serving you. For all things serve Your growth, the evolution of your soul. Live in the world, perfectly designed by our own collective intentions to reflect to us what we have to be rediscovered our true nature, and remember, we experience the first time. How can I experience things, truly, if you never played in anything else?

Therefore the stronger "negative" emotion, his method is still the truth about you. The more you are frustrated with the current situation, the more you know (unconsciously) you can be. These emotions are not so bad, but rather indicators that do not yet exist alone as all that You would be. And it is useful. This is You, at the level of the deepest, inspiring you to experience more of who You ARE. You can see that it is not that these emotions that make us feel bad. This is our judgments about them in our decision that is damaged and does not serve us, when in fact they do. But what's more, we really are we losing sight of who. While you might forget that we can for our larger than our emotions, we confused our emotions for our generators. But as I said to our emotions are not who we are. Pass the emotions. Who are you is eternal, limited, unbounded. Therefore, while we believe we have our emotions, we can separate us from the power that we are to our emotions and secular, becoming victims of them. And this is what creates a feeling of deep unhappiness. This unhappiness is prompted us to remind us that we are on a path that does not support us that moving away from the truth about who they really are. Our unhappiness screaming at us, which is almost, powerful and unmissable indicator is something is amiss in our thinking, make sure that we have forgotten who we are.

You are the creator of Your emotions, do not fall victim to them. Only if you confused yourself on Your emotions you can have the power by the user. There is only one power supply, and that is the strength of who they really are. When you get yourself as you are, then you'll really do all the things as they really are. If you realize that emotions you know that the probe will pass too, and that is something, but not Who You Are. You know that this moment, and all that is therein is always serving the highest good. We are, and then select create it, as Your soul desires, they should be.
